Gibson Realtime Reporting Services ("we", "us") provides freelance court reporting, real-time reporting, and CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) services, together with CAT software training through the Gibson Skill Development and Training Center. Assignments are accepted subject to availability and are confirmed by email or phone.
Submitting the request form is a request, not a confirmed booking. An assignment is confirmed only when we reply confirming date, time, location, and service. Requests are generally answered within one business day. Same-day and expedited requests are honored when availability allows.
Rates are quoted per assignment based on the service, format (in-person or remote), duration, and turnaround requested. Deposit and payment terms are stated in the confirmation for each assignment.
Cancellation notice requirements: 72 hours for CART services and 24 hours for court reporting services. An assignment cancelled with less than the required notice may be billed a reasonable minimum.
Transcript formats, realtime feeds, and turnaround times are agreed before or at the time of the assignment. Standard delivery follows the applicable court rules or the parties' agreement; expedited and daily-copy work is billed at expedited rates.
Payment terms are set with the relationship: net-30 invoicing is not extended to new clients until a working relationship is established. For court reporting work, an assignment expected to run more than one day requires a $600 retainer before the assignment begins.
The balance is due on receipt of the transcript, collected by COD, or may be prepaid by Zelle or bank transfer. Established clients may be offered different terms by agreement. We may withhold delivery of certified or final transcripts on past-due accounts as permitted by applicable law.
The content of proceedings, exhibits, and rough drafts is confidential. Rough draft transcripts are provided for the use of designated parties only and may not be distributed before certification except as agreed. We follow the professional conduct standards of the National Court Reporters Association and the rules of the jurisdictions in which we work.
Certified transcripts are produced under the reporter's certification and are subject to errata as provided by court rule. Rough drafts and realtime screens are unedited working products and are not certified transcripts.
CAT software training and mentoring sessions through Gibson Skill Development and Training Center are scheduled and paid separately. Session materials are for the participant's own use and may not be redistributed.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from services or this website is limited to the fees paid for the engagement giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, subject to applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where the services are performed, or, for remote services, the laws of the state where the case is filed, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Where no case has been filed, the laws of the state where the services are performed apply.
